As we all know this is the month of 'Ramadan',and its importance to the Muslims.They strictly practice fasting in all these days and hold prayers,and spend the whole day reading or listening to 'Qur'an.
Because they believe that the holy 'Qur'an was written in this month by 'Mohammad',and the verses were revealed to him by the 'Almighty'. 'Eid ul-Fitr' marks the end of the fasting period of Ramadan,after the new moon has been sighted. "Eid' falls after 29 or 30 days of fasting."Eid ul - Fitr" means 'the Festival of breaking the Fasting',and a celebration is done.Food is donated to the poor people and its called 'Zakat al-Fitr '. Buy new clothes,gifts to the friends and relatives,and feast. Muslims are expected to do this as an act of worship,and to thank 'Allah'.
Muslims consider the Qur'an to be the literal word of God,and these were revealed by God through angel 'Gabriel',and the method was transmission orally to 'Mohammad'. It was compiled at the time of 'Abu-Bakr',the 1st caliph. Researchers found that the Qur'an of today has not changed significantly over all these centuries.'Qur'an is divided into 114 suras,or chapters contain 6,236 ayat,or verses'. However the Suras,revealed at Mecca,are primarily were related to the ethical and spiritual topics. The Median suras mostly discuss social and moral issues relevant to the Muslim community,and is considered as the "Source book of Islamic Principles and Values". The word Qur'an
means recitation,and according to this 'Musallam-e-imman',he who is honest,moral,and believes in Allah (submits to) is the Muslimah.
The Qur'an,however never uses the term 'jihad' for fighting and killing people in the name of 'Allah'.And those who fight in the Jihad qualify for rewards in both worlds,Treasure in this world and paradise in the next. Most Islamic scholars have distinguished Jihad,as a legitimate struggle,from 'Fasaad' as illegitimate voilence and trouble-making,destroying,and argue that terrorism should be called 'Fasaad' and not 'Jihad'. 'Fasaad' is an Arabic term meaning corruption,unlawful activities or crimes against the Muslim community or Anti-Islamic. This word is described in Qur'an Sura 25,verse 52 states : Therefore,do not obey disblievers,and fight against them,and it is the duty of all Muslims. However Qur'an,never allows the term 'jihad' for fighting,and killing innocent people,its fighting the 'Evil inside ourselves'.
In the last,whatever may be the religion is,they all show the way to live happily and peacefully,and believe in God,not fight for the unneccesary reasons. Mankind has a much more big problems like poverty,Diseases,Natural calamities,Global warming,Pollution etc.lets fight them and "Thank All Gods for creating us",and all this beautiful nature,by not fighting in the name of religiion,and live happily to make our gods "HAPPY GODS".
